Couch Potato Heaven
February
Sometimes tv is just better than a movie.
I really enjoy this show. The Character is flawed and not the stereotype of what people use to think that black women are. Living on welfare, multiple kids, all with different fathers. She's a career women whose heart was broken all while trying to take care of her family.
Being Mary Jane
I didn't jump on board until half way through the first season. I fell in love immediately. Yes zombies are a huge threat. But the living cane be a lot more of one then the dead.
The Walking Dead
The first season was slow but ended in a world wind. The second season is better and is really getting into the title of the show. Hopefully we still get the original murder solved.
How to get away with Murder
I was late for this show. It was 6 episodes in when I finally caught it and boy am I glad I did. This so is phenomenal. I'm just happy that since movies are doing so well that TV is picking up the slack and actors are following suit too.
Empire
The Mindy Project
I love Mindy Kaling. I still have her book on my list of books I want to read. But I thought she was great ever since I read one of her magazine interviews. Her show is hilarious and the fact that the characters don't take them selves seriously is what I like about it the most. I think the comedic timing of the actors as well as the script is witty and hilarious.
The steps she taken for women is great as well. She's not the cookie cutter hollywood beauty and she doesn't care or feel the need to change and that's what I love about her the most.
I started watching this show again on animetube. This was the first anime that I ever watched. I use to get up early before school and watch it everyday and record it. I wanted to be a sailor scout so bad. This is a great show for anyone that likes girl anime shows with the main characters are women who know how to kick butt. But also look after each other through the good times and the bad.
Sailor Moon
March
What can I say about this show that hasn't already been said. Not much I'm sure. Its compelling and intelligent with fast pace and of course scandals galore! It's a great show.
Scandal
I love a show that is set in a particular era. This one is about Mary Queen on Scots in 1550's France. It has a modern take with the fashion which is really cool and of course it's not historically correct. But I'm not one to nit pick about that.
Reign
This show was really interesting when it first came out. The storyline of four girls being tormented by an ominous figure through technology was interesting. But it makes me mad how stupid the main characters are with the decisions that they make.
Pretty Little Liars
Inuyasha was the second anime that I felt a strong connection to after Sailor Moon. It is has a great story line that I loved and the characters were funny and relatable. Adult swim started playing the last season recently and I remembered why I use to watch it. The great formula of the good guys going around and saving people along with battling a formidable foe. All the while learning more about themselves and gain more strength to rid the world of evil.

Nana
I absolutely love this show. When I found it on Netflix I felt I could really relate to the characters. They were somewhere new and they were following their dreams. They were struggling to find themselves and in the process they became best friends. They went through everything together. All the characters are well written and are very relatable they have flaws, development growth, and commendable characteristics. But my favorite part was how close all the characters were with each other. They didn’t really judge they were always mostly honest with each other.
I’m sad it took me this long to watch this show. My ex got me to watch it and I’ve been obsessed ever since! I love the story line and the unexpected deaths always catch me off guard. I was so upset when Red Viper died at the hands of the Mountain. If he just would have shut up and just killed him! I’m really excited to see Arya’s storyline play out especially after she met up with the nameless one. It really hard to see Khaleesi’s struggle with being an actually ruler as well.

This so is hysterical. I’ve always loved my Fair Lady. Audrey Hepburn has been my idol since I was a child. So when I learned that this was a modern updated take on the wonderful story of Pygmalion I had to watch it. Eliza is the epitome of that person that’s always on her phone, on all social media sites, and totally self-absorbed. Henry is played by John Cho who I’ve crushed on since forever. Though I have heard that sadly is was cancelled after only a couple episodes it still a great show to watch when you wanna veg out and have a good laugh.
Botched
This show puts a spot light on people who have had some very scary plastic surgery. While some people are actually trying to fix something that could eventually cause life threatening complications. There are also the fwq of people who come thinking they can get the extreme looks that were turned down by other doctors. I like that the doctors always care about the well being of the pateints other than just trying to get money. It's like a real version of Nip/Tuck without all the over the top characterizations.
RuPaul is overdramatic, catty, hilarious, and all around feirce. I love this show and I recently go back into watching it. I forgot how funny and hilarious it all is. This show makes me want to bring out my inner drag queen and snatch weaves and throw shade with the best of them.
RuPaul's Drag Race
This was a Korean Drama that I watched on Hulu. It was funny, sweet and had a really great story line. It was about a k-pop group that was getting a new member. Unfortunately the new member got surgery and couldn’t sign his contract on time. So he twin sister had to take his place until he comes back. A little outlandish but it has a great tie in with the other storylines. Though it only had one season all the storylines get wrapped up very nicely.

Young & Hungry is a really cute show that’s pretty funny all the characters are pretty likeable for the most part. I thought that Elliot the assistant to the Millionaire mogul was a jerk. But, he was still loveable and he has the best one liners out of everyone. It reminds me of the formula of friends. Two people you want to get together but it’s the whole will they won’t they the first season.
Young & Hungry
I just recently watched the first season on Netflix and I found it be great new twist on the witch storylines that we usually see on TV. It’s a darker or twisted version that I thoroughly enjoyed. The premise is that it’s told as the witched being the ones in charge of the actually witch trials. The love storyline is intriguing because it’s also included in the struggle between good and evil. All the characters are forever changing and sometimes you don’t know who exactly to root for.

I wrote a blog post about this great show here. I've watched all the seasons and the third was not a great as the other two it was still awesome.

The Strain
FX
Genre: Drama, Horror, Thriller
The Strain is a great horror show. The second season is about to start and I really excited. The ending was crazy and it left a lot to work with for the coming new episodes. The interesting look of the vampires is what I find the most. They don’t have the typical look of being beautiful and attractive. The thing that draws you to them like we’ve seen in older storylines. This vampires are scary, ugly, gross, and not anything you want to go near.
On FX season one is on Netflix. Season two starts Sun July 12 @ 10pm
Adventure Time
Cartoon Network
Genre: Animation, Adventure, Comedy
I think Cartoon Network is back in the for front of making great cartoon shows again. I like a least 3 of the newer shows they have now on the schedule. Adventure Time is one of them it's a great show about friendship, romantic relationships and it's hilarious. Finn & Jake the main characters are so tight they make you want to take your best friend and go on different adventures to save anybody that needs it.
On Cartoon Network. Currently on season 7. Working on season 8 now. Can be seen on hulu, and Amazon prime.
Ink masters is a reality completion show on Spike TV were Dave Navarro is the host and he has two world renowned tattoo artist help him to judge lesser known tattoo artist who are all trying to obtain the title of ink master. Though most of the shows drama seems to be for TV. The part I enjoy the most is seeing the completed tattoos. Of course most of the challenges are ridiculous and the human canvases are complete assholes who never should have volunteered to be on the show. It’s a great show to give tattoo artists the opportunity to show off their talent and skills.
Currently season six is playing on Spike TV @ 10 pm
Ink Masters
Spike TV

What is there to say about this show that hasn't already been said not much. It's raunchy, hilarious, disjusting, conversatial, and a great damn show. I love that Seth MacFarlene pushes the bounderies on every topic imaginable and does it without any thought of others. Just like South Park another fantastic show and the originator of making people feel uncomfortable about pushing bounderies.

Nashville
ABC
Genre: Drama, Music
Nashville has a wonderful cast and music. The fact that when it was first casting that they were more concerned with acting the if the actors could sing is a really great help to the storylines and character developments. The icing on the cake is that almost all the cast can act and sing! I think it easy to tell who has the chops and who doesn't when the accompanyment music is louder then the artist singing. Thought the love triangle aspect get old pretty quickly. Juliette Barnes the up and coming country queen is quite a character who can make you despise her and in the next episode love her. A great show for anyone not just country music fans.
Season 4 premiers Sept 23 (wed) on Abc
I love make-up and watching this show makes me want to learn even more about it from the prespective of the special effects aspect. This people are so talented and different. I like seeing how the come up with all these cool new looks and ideas. I also love that this show is about having an actual skill and its not just a reality show about somebody just walking around being a vapid waste of space.
Season 9 is currently airing on Sci-Fi Tues @9pm
